I love the Lord and I have turned into my grandmother (not a terrible thing in this case, lol) in that I am talking (or muttering) to the Lord all day. I grew up with a family that loves the Lord, so scripture and bible verses have always been a part of my life. But I still find myself questioning what His Will for my life is. How do I know God? How can I be sure?
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ( NKJV, Romans 10:17)
How do I “hear and hear by the Word of God” more? I study the Word of God, but not consistently. I set time for prayer and meditation, but again, on a mediocre schedule at best. How can I do better?
I know that hearing (repeatedly) the verses that mean something to me allows me to memorize them and then they become part of my soul. With this internalization, I have the assurance and conviction that I know what the Lord wants for me … it is in His Word! So why wouldn’t I start each day with “Hearing His Word.”
